question What have we got up to now? question

As a result of over ten years work we have a number of sizeable databases,
covering the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, America and other parts of the world.

About seventy sizeable trees which are slowly begining to merge

Several regular and irregular correspondents.

Although a lot can now be done on line record offices and local studies libraries are still a major source for our information.

We are not doing "Lavers" or "Lever" unless of proven connection
The "Lever:Leaver:Labor" name does in some regions get interchanged

Where does the name come from??
The chances are there is more then one source as the oldest records
we have come from both Somerset and Essex.
There are a significant number of occurances in Romania
It is a little difficult to associate the name with mainland Europe
as the old alphabets in Germany etc. were different
it is therefore quite possible that emmigrants into the US at for example Ellis Island
would have had their names transcribed by the clerk phonetically and written in "English"
"Lauwer" could easily have been interpreted as "Laver"
